Bonnie Robinson

B. J. Robinson is Professor of English at North Georgia College & State University. Her husband Carl Cavalli teaches Political Science also at NGCSU. In her area of specialization, British Victorian literature, she has published on Oscar Wilde in the book Decadences: Morality and Aesthetics in British Literature, served as guest editor of a special issue of Victorian Poetry: Women Writers 1890-1918, and served on the Publication Staff of The Pater Newsletter (International Pater Society).

Her interest in Women's Studies led to her founding at NGCSU an annual international Women and Leadership Conference. She has also won grants to lead forums on women and leadership.

In Creative Writing, she has published articles on teaching creative writing in The Academic Exchange Extra as well as presented on both poetry and creative writing pedagogy at national conferences on Popular Culture. To support her students' literary efforts, she founded at NGCSU the literary e-zine Unfettered Muse (www.unfetteredmuse.com).

She is the Director of the University Press of North Georgia, which has just published Billy Roper: Visual Storyteller and has forthcoming a book on the native Georgian poet Don West, titled Don West as Metaphor for Change in the Appalachian South.

Her poetry has been published in Women's Studies Quarterly and Academic Exchange.

She lives in Dahlonega, located an hour north of Atlanta, with her husband and two cats.
