I won 3rd Prize in the 2005 William Redding Memorial Poetry Competition for the Poetry Forum at Larry’s. In the 2005 & 2006 Ohio Poetry Day Contests, I won first prize, third prize, and three honorable mentions. I won the 1998 Janet Cicchetti Memorial Prize published in the Poetry Society of South Carolina Yearbook. Poems were published in The Bitter Oleander, Möbius, The Raintown Review, HazMat Review, Quattrocento and 21 other publications. In addition, poetry is forthcoming in Cricket and Poetry Motel.
I have a desire to share my response to life through my poetry, flash fiction, and photography. I was a featured reader at the 2005 and 2006 Columbus Arts Festival’s Poetry Corner and the Peripatetic Poets 2007. I participate in monthly poetry workshops at the Salon, offered by Pudding House Publications. I have been Secretary of the Ohio Poetry Association for the past two years.
When I am not immersed in poetry or photography, I work as a product scientist to develop nutritional food products to enhance the lives of others.
