
Fatmah Al-Qadfan is an aspiring Kuwaiti writer who was born in 1986. As a diplomat’s daughter, she grew up in Saudi Arabia and Oman. She moved back to Kuwait in 2004 to study at the American University of Kuwait, where she is currently double-majoring in English Literature and Anthropology. Her stories, poetry, articles and reviews have been published in her high school paper as well as local newspapers and magazines such as The Week, The Daily Star and The Voice of AUK. She also worked as an editor for the latter two.
Most of her short stories and poetry were published on various forums on the internet as well as on her blog. She was awarded third prize in the Cambridge MENA Essay Competition in 2004.
