GopiKrishnan Kottoor

GopiKrishnan Kottoor taught creative writing and Ideas to Freshmen in Texas State University , Texas USA during 2000-2001. He also served as writer-in-Residence in the University of Augsburg, Germany, in 2005 where he read his poetry, Father, Wake Us In Passing along with his German publisher and translator. His poems have received major prizes in the All India Poetry Competitions held jointly by the British Council and Poetry Society (India ). They have appeared in Ariel (Canada), Verse, Special Issue on Contemporary Indian Poetry in English, Seattle, USA, and in Fulcrum, USA, Special issue on Contemporary Indian Poetry in English). He presently lives in New Mumbai, India. Some of his poetry publications include "A Buchenwald Diary", 'Nirvana', 'Rev. Father Benedict Goes To Heaven and Other Poems', and " Mother Sonata'. Kottoor edits a poetry quarterly "Poetry Chain" which is in its tenth year of publication. He is presemtly working on a novel based on the life story of Bela Kiss.
