Len Sousa is a poet, essayist, translator, critic, and music journalist who has contributed work to The Mercury, Skope Magazine, Ducts, Performer, Slant Magazine, The Pulse, Literary Traveler and other sundry publications. He attended Bard College for one year (2001-2002) before attending Emerson College where he received his BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing in 2005. That same year, he was awarded a writing prize for his fiction. Over the years, he has studied under the tutelage of poets Jonathan Aaron, Bill Knott, Pam Bernard, and Lisa Jarnot. Though still considered a poet in utero, his poetry has appeared in issues of The New Republic, Perigee, The Alembic, Twenty3 Magazine, Gauge, The Emerson Review, and Gangsters In Concrete. His poetry translations have also been published by Perihelion. One day, however, he hopes to see his work completely banned and released solely through samizdat.
