Michele Battiste is the author of two chapbooks: Raising Petra (Pudding House, 2007) and Mapping the Spaces Between (Snark Press, 2004). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Poetry International, Harpur Palate, The Laurel Review, 5 AM, and Pool among others. Michele currently lives in New York City where she works for an international nonprofit health organization, takes long walks along the East River, and continues to work on a series of poems set in post-WWII Budapest, Hungary.
