
Michelle Morgan was born and raised in the state of Maine, though over the past ten years she has lived in various parts of the United States. She currently lives in Auburn, Maine. Michelle is beginning graduate school in the American & New England Studies program at the University of Southern Maine in the fall of 2007, where she will be studying New England print and book culture.
While she has been a writer for most of her life, she only began submitting her work for publication within the past year. Her poems, essays and artwork have appeared or are forthcoming in JMWW, The Banyan Review, Salt River Review, The Aurorean, Off the Coast, Wolf Moon Journal, Plain Spoke, from east to west, Pemmican, Ruined Music & New Verse News, and will be included in four forthcoming anthologies: Belonging in Word & Picture, Voyage: A Franco-American Heritage, Out of Line, and Outside Voices 2008 Anthology of Younger American Poets. She is editor of the online literary & arts journal panamowa: a new lit order.
