
Tolu Ogunlesi was born in 1982.He graduated in pharmacy from the University of Ibadan in 2004. He is the author of a collection of poetry Listen to the Geckos singing froma Balcony, (Bewrite Books, UK, 2004). His fiction and poetry have appeared in Wasafiri, Sable, Orbis, Eclectica, Stickman Review, VLQ, Inkpot, Mississippi Review, Times Arts Review, Smoke: A London Peculiar,Sentinel Poetry Quarterly,
Pindeldyboz, Dance the Guns to Silenceand Subtle Tea among others, andare forthcoming in Jelly Paint andThe Weaverbird Anthology of New Nigerian Fiction.
He has performed his poetry at the African Weerword 05(Amsterdam) and at Denachten 2005 (Antwerp). He was a 2005/2006 Fellow on the British Council Crossing Borders Nigeria Literature Project, and a participant
in the BBC Africa 05 My Africa Project. He also participated in the Beyond Borders Festival of Contemporary African Literature in Kampala, Uganda, in 2005 and in the 2006 Caine Prize Workshop in Kenya.
