Walter Cummins has published approximately 100 stories in such magazines as Kansas Quarterly, Other Voices, Crosscurrents, Florida Review, Green Hills Literary Lantern, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Confrontation, and on the Internet. His previous story collections are titled Witness and Where We Live.
A new collection, Local Music, will be published in 2007. He is co-author, with Thomas E. Kennedy, of The Literary Traveler. He also has published memoirs, essays, articles, and reviews. From 1983 to 2002, Cummins served as editor-in-chief of The Literary Review: An International Journal of Contemporary Writing and is now Editor Emeritus.
